About our School

Immanuel is one of the oldest schools in Minnesota, dating back to 1864. We have five state-certified teachers who teach kindergarten-8th grades as well as a team  of experienced preschool teachers. Preschool is offered two days/week for 3 year olds and three or five days for 4 and 5 year olds. Class sizes are small with a 1 to 10 teacher/student ratio. Public busing is provided for students in the vicinity of Courtland, Nicollet, & New Ulm. The Word of God is the basis of all instruction. Our aim is to make disciples of all the children of our school, encouraging each to grow their God-given abilities. Subjects taught include: Religion, Language Arts (Reading, Writing, Spelling, and English), Social Studies, History, Mathematics, Science, Music, Art, Current Events, Health, Environmental Education, Computer, and Physical Education.
