What is Parent Teacher League (PTL)?

Welcome to the Parent Teacher League (PTL) of Immanuel Lutheran School. All parents of Immanuel students and all of Immanuel’s teachers are automatically members of PTL. There are no membership dues and no formal procedure for joining PTL.

The purpose of PTL is school enrichment, communication and fellowship.

Enrichment. PTL coordinates volunteer opportunities, hosts fundraisers and provides financial support for items the school budget does not otherwise allow. Some of PTL’s annual fundraisers include a fall pork chop dinner, a winter basketball tournament and a spring pastry sale. Some of the items PTL has provided for the school are athletic uniforms, fieldtrip assistance and Valentine’s Day cookies.

Communication. PTL is an important venue for communicating school news to parents, and parents’ concerns to the school. PTL meets every other month during the school year and maintains a Facebook page for up-to-the-minute news and announcements.

Fellowship. PTL hosts family events and opportunities for Christian fellowship. As brothers and sisters in Christ, Immanuel’s families enjoy spending time together not only for service, but also for fun! Family fellowship events have included bowling, year-end carnivals and movie nights.

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about our PTL. For more information, feel free to review the minutes of past PTL meetings at the links below. Or, contact our principal. Our prayer is that we, as the parents and teachers of Immanuel students, will glorify God in word and deed as we train up our children in the way they should go.
