I’ve been teaching 5-6th grade at Immanuel since 2012. I also teach 7-8th grade science, social studies, and spelling along with 6-8th handbells. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Biology from Bethany Lutheran College (2012).

My classroom has a Russian tortoise as a class pet (his name is Joe) and a HUGE library. I love learning of all sorts, so it’s hard for me to pick a favorite subject to teach. Science is definitely at the top of the list, along with reading!

When I’m not teaching, you can usually find me reading, visiting the family farm, kayaking, experimenting in the kitchen, or traveling the world.

Every year the 5-6th graders write a 2,000+ word novel in November. Here they are with their winner certificates.
