The Lord’s Supper

is a special celebration of the Gospel of God’s love, forgiveness, and salvation. This sacred meal is for those who repent of their sins, believe in Jesus as their Savior, and who hunger and thirst for God’s righteousness. Communion is also a holy union of God with His people and His people with each other. VISITORS who are members of LC-MS congregations are welcome to commune with us. Other visitors please check with Pastor before communing with us, or consult with blue folder in the pew Bibles for more info.     ****Communion is celebrated the first and third Sundays of each month. During the summer we also celebrate on the corresponding Saturday evenings of these first and third Sundays at 6:30 PM.

  1. Today, on the Lutheran Hour we listen to LH Guest Speaker, Rev.   1. This morning we thank the Immanuel Bible School for hosting the snacks and beverages for our fellowship hour. Free will offerings will go towards their Food Shelf Drive. 

**Anyone willing to bring snacks with beverages and serve for a weekend, or just sponsor a ‘Self-Serve’ Fellowship Hour (Prepare beverages for:  visiting and conversation  with others — No free will offering) after a Sunday service, there is a sign-up sheet on the kitchen counter.  Please sign your name.

 

  1. Immanuel Bible School is sponsoring a FOOD DRIVE ending TODAY  May 5th.

Boxes are under the coat rack.  Items will be brought to the NU Food Shelf.

ALL DONATIONS ARE APPRECIATED!!  Items collected are cereals, canned food,

canned fruit, Jell-O,  vegetables, (No Green Beans),  Pudding, Mac & Cheese,

Box Meals, Soups, Tuna Helper, Noodles, Peanut Butter.

  1. Today (Sunday) at 1:00 pm there will be a piano recital here at Immanuel. 24 students under the direction of Mrs. Carlotta Ohm will play short pieces.  All are welcome to attend!

 

  1. A sign-up sheet for Altar Duty is located in the entryway. Our spring and summer months (June, July, August, Sept.) are open.  Please sign up now for the month that works for you.  Your willingness to offer help is always appreciated.  Your service is special to the Lord and to us.

Do you purchase groceries or fuel for your vehicle? Need a birthday, anniversary, or thank you gift?  SCRIP cards are a quick and easy way to purchase everyday items while earning fundraising dollars for our church and school.

Scrip is exciting because everybody wins: the retailer gets cash up front and repeat business, you get a powerful fundraising alternative that involves no selling, our school gets a regular source of revenue.
